G 1000 BB

The G 1000 BB is a four-axle diesel-hydraulic locomotive for heavy shunting and light line service. It is currently approved for service in Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland.

This modular designed locomotive is based on the platform-concept which is common for all Vossloh locomotives and sets new standards regarding noise and exhaust emissions. Due to the two-stage gear the available power can be used either for a high starting tractive effort or for more tractive power in the upper speed range.

The radio remote control (available with constant speed control) combined with the shunting coupler facilitate an effective service as shunting locomotive. On the other hand the newly designed driver's cabin offers all ergonomic and climatic advantages for line services, too.

The vehicle can be equipped with all modern communications methods and country-specific safety systems.
